DJ Luna spins soul and disco. Bring a record, she might sleep on it.

Cat Quiz Night

Teams of four, six rounds, one very loud host. Winners drink free.

Purr Yoga

An hour of slow flow with cats walking over your mat. Mats provided.

Meet the cats with the shelter team. Paperwork done over coffee.

About CatBar

CatBar opened when the city shelter ran out of room and we had a bar with too much of it. Six rescue cats live here full time. Your entry fee pays for their food and vet visits, and when a cat chooses you, the shelter handles the rest.

  1. Meet the cat at the bar, more than once. They need to like you too.
  2. Fill in the shelter form at the counter. It takes ten minutes.
  3. The shelter does a home visit, then your cat moves in.

Covers cat food and vet visits. Includes one treat to give the cat of your choice.

18+ after 8 pm

Kids at daytime events

Under 18s are welcome at Purr Yoga and Adoption Sunday with a grown-up.

Fur happens

Allergic?

Our cats shed, a lot. Take your antihistamine before the negroni.

Can I bring my own cat?

No. The crew is territorial and Sir Pounce takes it personally.

Can I pick the cats up?

Please don't. Let them come to you. Laps are by invitation only.

Do you serve food?

Bar snacks for humans: toasties, olives, fish-shaped cookies. The cats have their own menu.

Do I need to book?

Walk-ins are welcome. Book for Friday nights, events and groups of six or more.
